Flocks has performed alongside Dave Brubeck, Joshua Redman, and many others on some of jazz's biggest stages, including the Monterey Jazz Festival and the Bern Jazz Festival in Switzerland.

Joshua Redman has praised Flocks' sound for "diving deep" into the "the soul of things", noting that Flocks "may yet make some of the widest and longest lasting waves".

Flocks holds a MA in Music Education from San José State University and a BFA from the New School in New York. A deep passion for music education, Flocks currently serves on faculty at Glendale Community College, Harvard-Westlake School, and the Stanford Jazz Workshop.
